信仰
聖經無誤：我們相信新舊約聖經都是神所默示的，並且按照主耶穌基督所見證的「一點一畫都不能廢去」，因此我們堅定相信全本聖經，不但在歷史或任何部份，在原著上每字每句均無誤，其中的教訓及真理是我們信仰及生活最高的權威。
三一真神：我們相信獨一、自有永有、全善之真神，是聖父、聖子、聖靈，三位而一體，祂是萬有及時間的創造者，是掌管宇宙和全人類的主宰。
唯一救主：我們相信主耶穌基督是真神、完全的人，因聖靈感孕，藉童女馬利亞而生。祂為救贖我們脫離罪與死亡的轄制而犧牲於十字架上，第三天身體由死中復活、昇天，坐在至高至尊者的右邊，作我們的大祭司和中保。我們相信在主耶穌基督以外無救恩，無中保。是故，這唯一能救人的福音必要在末日之前傳遍天下，等地上教會得救的人數添滿，在人想不到的時候祂會再來接取教會，又降臨到地上作王，並且審判世界，在最後將屬祂的子民引進新天新地。
聖靈職事：我們相信人本來是按照著神的形像被造，後因犯罪而墮落，與神的生命隔絕，除非藉著聖靈的重生，人不能得著耶穌基督在十字架上所成就的救恩和永遠的生命。聖靈全部的職事均以榮耀主耶穌基督為目標，聖靈從不在主耶穌基督以外，要人特別高舉祂和追求祂。是故，每一個人只要真心信主就有了聖靈，而且當信徒真正活出基督，也就是被聖靈所充滿。(註)
來生盼望：我們相信所有信主得救的基督徒在主再來之時，都要身體復活、被提、得享永生。我們相信所有犯罪的、不信的，不論死人活人，將來都要在全能的神和主耶穌基督面前受審判，他們的結局就是「永遠燒著的硫磺火湖」。
註：我們注重聖靈，但不認同「靈恩運動」所高舉的全體會眾在聚會中一起說方言、強調知識的言語、智慧的言語、及經常行神醫等超然恩賜表現。我們認為應該按照聖經哥林多前書十二及十四章的教導，讓聖靈隨己意賜下不同恩賜，在有秩序下進行聚會，為要造就教會，踐行全面的真理。
灣宣源起
鑑於灣區華人並華人教會眾多，福音禾場廣大，2013年滕張佳音博士和洪順強牧師鼓勵下，成立了佈道團的雛形，可是沒有同工幫助，仍然難以發展。直至2015年，由范文堅傳道和梁惠玲傳道協助，找到佈道團的核心成員及顧問團，於2015年7月26日正式成立三藩市灣區短宣佈道團，開始「耶穌愛華埠」本地短宣週，在SF & Oakland兩地同時進行。兩年後，范梁二人希望把完整的佈道課程帶進灣區，以協助教會培訓信徒佈道與栽培，並於2017年7月23日，把佈道團易名為灣區基督徒短期宣教訓練中心（簡稱灣宣）。短宣中心旨在協助華人教會，推動及培訓華人信徒承擔福音使命，拓展天國。
The origin of BASTM
In view of the large number of Chinese and Chinese churches in the Bay Area, and the large
gospel field, under the encouragement of Dr. Kai-Yum Cheung Teng and Rev. James Hung in
2013, the prototype of the mission fellowship was established, but without the help of co-workers, it is still difficult to go further. Until 2015, with the assistance from Pastor Man-Kin Fan and Pastor Grace Leung, they pulled together the core members of the mission team and the advisory team. On July 26, 2015, San Francisco Bay Area Short- Term Mission (SFSTM) was formally formed and started the "Jesus Loves Chinatown", a local mission week that carried out in San Francisco and Oakland separately but at the same time. Two years later, the couple, Pastor Fan and Pastor Leung, wanted to start a complete evangelistic course in the Bay Area to assist the churches in training and cultivating believers in evangelism. On July 23, 2017, SFSTM was renamed as the Bay Area Christian Short-term Mission Training Center (BASTM in short). The purpose of BASTM is to assist Chinese churches, to promote and train Chinese believers to undertake the mission of the gospel and to expand God’s kingdom.
異象
「惟有你們是被揀選的族類，是有君尊的祭司，是聖潔的國度，是屬神的子民，要叫你們宣揚那召你們出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德。」（彼前二9）
灣區大約有60多萬華人在其中，他們來自不同故鄉，文化相近卻說著不同的地方語言，分享著不一樣的生命經歷。但他們都有一個共同的切實需要：每一個人都需要主耶穌基督的救恩。
大使命並非單單交託給牧者和教會領袖，而是交託給歷世歷代的每一位基督徒。因此，基督徒應當在生活和工作崗位上見證主、榮耀主，作個「天國精兵」。所以，鼓勵和培訓基督徒傳福音，實踐大使命，是灣區短宣中心的異象。
灣宣與教會的關係，就像合作夥伴，一同努力，提昇弟兄姊妹的佈道熱誠，幫助弟兄姊妹克服傳福音的障礙，一同實踐大使命。
Our Vision
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” (1 Peter 2:9)
There are about 600,000 Chinese in the Bay Area. They come from different hometowns, have similar cultures but speak different dialects, and share different life experiences. But they all have a real need in common: everyone needs the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Great Commission is not only entrusted to the church pastors and church leaders, but entrusted to every Christian in all ages. Therefore, Christians should bear witness to the Lord in life and at work, glorify the Lord, and be a "good soldier of the kingdom of heaven." Therefore, encouraging and training Christians to share the gospel and fulfill the Great Commission is the vision of the Bay Area short-term mission training center (BASTM).
The relationship between BASTM and the church is like a partner, working together to uplift the preaching enthusiasm of brothers and sisters, to help brothers and sisters to overcome obstacles in evangelism, and together we put the Great Commission into practice.
